Puck Overlays and Baseplates

Available in standard resistivity and ac transport layouts, as well as original designs targeting simplified van der Pauw measurement, as with all our products we offer straightforward customisation to exactly meet your requirements. For those who wish to dedicate a sample puck to van der Pauw measurements without the use of press contacts, our van der Pauw puck overlays route the appropriate connections of the available measurement channels to conveniently arranged contact areas on the puck, while providing the largest possible sample area (suitable for samples up to 13 × 13 mm) on the puck surface.
Conversely, for the growing number of customers looking to utilise our press contact assemblies independently of the PPMS hardware in their own measurement setup, we offer a custom baseplate that allows for secure and effective mounting of the assemblies without a puck. Used in conjunction with the corresponding puck overlay or without, connecting wires can be soldered to the overlay or directly to the pin receptacles of the press contact assembly.

Note that our puck overlays are supplied as boards only. These must be attached to a bare puck and twelve wires soldered between the contact points on the board and the contact areas on the underside of the puck.
